Weekly Web Roundup: The Simplicity Edition #19

Weekly Web Roundup

The major news of the week was that Apple’s App Store just hit over 2 billion downloaded apps, how happy is Apple right now?! There are now also 50 million iPhone and iPod touch users, 85,000 apps available to download which were created by over 125,000 developers.

My little find of the week is a graphic entitled Arial vs Helvetica which perfectly illustrates the key differences in their letterforms.

I’ve called this the Simplicity edition in honor of the first link which was my favorite article of the week as it took an in-depth look at how simplicity in web design can be a powerful technique.

That’s a wrap up of the ninthteenth edition. Were there any links you thought deserved a mention? If so drop a link in the comments so we can check them out.
