This week saw a mixture of breaking news stories, the largest being that Apple is rumoured to be launching a Tablet in September. Google also revealed 100,000 Invites for Google Wave will go out on September 30th, along with news on how their ‘hackathon’ is going to create applications that tap into the Wave API.
The most interesting social media story this week is that Digg has now changed the behavior of its short URLs so they no longer go to the source of the story for logged-out users: instead they direct visitors to a landing page on Digg.com. As expected this wasn’t very well received as now many publishers will have their traffic stolen diverted to Digg.
Alongside the major news there were plenty of other great articles and resources being published over the last week, my favourite of which are summarised below.
