Looks really well, I've no problem with a designer using a great template for a blog (there is no rule to say you must re-invent the wheel). Although, like myself you will probably want to have more input into the presentation of the blog before long, I've prioritised adding content over changing my theme (and I don't get much time for either) on my blog but I really do need to spruce it up a lot.
