I really agree with the above the dock series is awesome. It really gives some insight in to what other people use. Another interesting series would be a day in the life of some of the people (typical day anyhow). Your doing great, I find your blog informative and nice to read.

I always keep my eye out (in general) for a post that looks at how designers approach the (written) content when it comes to designing. That includes usability, accessibility etc, but also the process of working with a copywriter or content team. It’s also worth saying that as I am a copywriter at a design company, I should probably write the frickin’ thing myself!

We see the programs that lots of folks use in the show me your dock series, but I would love to see the hardware that people use. Presumably there are lots of great monitors, keyboards, mice, speakers, etc that are made by other companies besides apple. How about a show me your hardwares series?

I look forward to posts on Mac Apps. I like how you simply provide a portal for your readers to discover what tools other designers/developers are using (The Mac Dock series). Maybe you can streamline this and direct this research towards posts centered around a single purpose. For example, a post about apps for time management, another post only about multimedia apps, another about addictive 2D games, so on and so forth.

I love ’show me your dock’ series you did, it inspired us (well… at least for me) and it basically tell us how people (geeks) manage their own daily ‘workflows’ and if possible I’m looking forward to see something from different directions – how about show us how they handle/manage their daily working emails with differ priority levels… or even their primary workspaces

Just recently i got to find out about you via another designer’s site and i read some of your posts and they have caught my interest. However, i would really love to see more of posts that are on ‘Design reviews of other people’s designs and what can be improved on’. Nevertheless, others suggestions are notable and they should be considered. And i really thought one of the suggestions made on ‘colors and emotional stuff’ was interesting to be considered. Design also involves psychology, such as the Gestalt principles. I would love it very much if you could cover on design psychology. Not to forget, while doing so, why not add in some ‘applications’ worth mentioning to pair along

Great post, i love the site. ideas for posts: i totally agree with arienh4, designing for mobile (iphones, etc), and other thoughts, future directions in freelance design, steps to build your freelance design business, to hire or not to hire…interns or junior designers.

I really love this blog, you might not see me commenting on a lot of articles, but boy do I read them!

What I would love to see is how certain designers/creatives describe a normal day. So wake up at 7 AM, Have a business talk at 11 AM, take a break at 1 PM etc.

Another idea is to have designers/creatives tell how they started. If they knew what they would become at the age of 6. Or if they discovered what they wanted to do at the age of 22. What made them get in the industry. What terrible first jobs they had in the design industry (screenprinting in a t-shirt shop, cheesy fliers for a computer store etc).

I hope that this might give you some ideas

Btw, I would love to win those productivity apps, so awesome that you’re giving them away!
