  1. Alan says:

I love that you appreciate that most women are awful drivers 😛

    • Grace says:

Believe me, I really do! Don’t get me wrong there are some amazing female drivers (professional and otherwise), but they are let down by the majority that can’t park, don’t look in their mirrors and generally cause havoc.

  2. Alan says:

haha my Fiancee’s sister would be one of them.

  3. Preston says:

Grace, This was very entertaining! I drink more than my fair share of milk too and I hate talking on the phone. Also, I am expecting my first son soon (who is my excuse to play with legos). You may not know, I am also a Christian. Member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter–Day Saints, actually. I have come to know that God HAS done something. I know it’s hard to believe when we see so much hurt and suffering going on. But I know He watches over us and He has restored His true church in our day through living prophets just like in old times. I would love to chat with you more about this stuff-as friends of course-in a casual way. Do you profess any religion?

    • Grace says:

Hi Preston, we may just have to form a lego playing, milk drinking club 😉 I was quite a spiritual person before I suddenly lost several members of my close family in a short period of time, which led to a real loss of faith. Something which I’ve never been able to recover. Would definitely be interested in chatting to you more about this.

  4. Daniel Apt says:

This is such a fun post :D!

    Join the milk-drinker’s-club!

  5. I still play with legos sometimes at nearly 27. I once broke my leg and didn’t know about it for a month.

  6. Nikki says:

I don’t think you ever need an excuse to play Legos. They’re cool no matter what age you are. 😉

  7. Preston says:

Death can be a really hard thing to deal with, especially when it’s so close to home. Perhaps this isn’t the right venue for this discussion. I’ll send you an email soon. Good to talk to you again.

  8. Einar Rice says:

Grace..if you love sneakers – you should check out dress them feet up!! Love the post…this is an awesum display of self awareness – I wouldn’t be surprised if we all tried to sit down and do this…that we may find it a bit difficult… I will test my
PS: I so love Old Dutch BBQ Chips!

  9. Emma Taylor says:

Great post Grace!! Definitely up for joining the lego playing, milk drinking club!!! 😉

  10. Sam Hardacre says:

    Great post!

A couple of random facts about me.

    1. I got my first job (still working there now after 7 years) by meeting the boss in the pub. No interview, no experience. I was just told “Come in Monday and we’ll find something” Probably one of the best conversations ever!

    2. Twitter (and friend connections) brought me to my future wife who lived almost 300 miles away at the time. Now we live here in Yorkshire and are getting hitched next September : D

    3. In 2006, I nearly died from Bilateral Pneumothorax. In 2 months I had 2 operations (one left me with a badass scar that runs right down my chest) and a total of 8 chest drains leaving me with more scars. One of the best things to happen to me as it kicked a 5 year smoking habit.

  11. Agree completely with two of your points above all of them, NO LOGO was an essential reading text for uni and I agree it was a complete eye opener, plus lego, what can I say from the moment my son was born I was round into my parents roofspace digging out my own and am now counting down the days until he’s old enough not to eat it put play with it instead, have to suffice with the big blocks for now, but I play with lego at least 3 times a week 😉

  12. McBonio says:

Great read! I have a five year old so I get to play Lego everyday! (I made social media icons the other day!)

So sign me up to the Lego club but not the milk one! :)

  13. Loved reading this post. Several times you had me laughing and nodding in agreement.

I do #6 all the time and it drives my husband nuts.

I also had My Little Ponies, I somehow managed to keep them and the original barn, I still need to clean them up.

And yes I agree as someone who loves to drive as well, many women drivers suck.

  14. I didn’t know that I didn’t know these things about you !

  15. Harold says:

Always fun to read about the people we follow.

    Here’s a few…

I started following your posts because they were always useful
That was before you said something nice about me… :-)
I have eleven kids and am the father of none of them

  16. Silverback says:

Now I know all that about you, there are no secrets left. Or are there ? Taping fingers for the sequel !!

  17. Since until now I didn’t know anything about you except the fact that we have the same name and profession, thanks for sharing that list! Here are a few random facts about me:

If I could wake up tomorrow with any talent in the world, it would be an amazing voice
I’ve been known to drink warm milk before bed
I have dreams that I’m flying and nightmares that I’m floating
My favorite shoes tend to be red
I’m a wine and food fanatic who loves to bake

    Take care!

  18. Matthew says:

    I wish I could be a DJ too 😉

  19. Stu says:

Totally agree on ‘no logo’, what an amazing book. Have you read ‘the shock doctrine’?
